Judges and viewers of the seventh season of American Idol was recently astounded when a small lady sang with a huge voice. Yes, I’m talking about Ramiele Malubay who is just 4-feet 11-inches. Quite short eh? Hehe! And she shares, “I’ve watched myself [on tv], yeah. It’s weird. [And thank God], I don’t come across super-small.” For those not in the know, Ramiele Malubay is a sushi hostess who grew up listening to ’70s and ’80s music with her parents. She likes Diana Ross and Aretha Franklin. She reveals, “I tend to sound big because of my size. I try to make up for my size.” Hehe!

And guess who helps Ramiele Malubay sing better? None other than her sister! The 20-year old singer shares, “My sister is the only person who can tell when I’m off key. Even though, you know, I can cover it up, she’ll make the ugliest face, in the audience. And I’ll be like, ‘You’re not supposed to do that.’ She’s like, ‘Well, you sound horrible.’ But it’s good because she could teach me and I’ll get better from them.”
