About a week ago, we posted that the Pinay American Idol sensation has some racy photos online (you can read the full article HERE). And now, CelebTV.com is reporting another racy photo of Ramiele Malubay has surfaced! And this time, she was the one doing the “groping” O_o The new picture shows the 20-year old Florida native grabbing a female co-worker’s breast at a sushi bar in Miramar, Florida. They appeared on a fan Facebook site (not on Ramiele Malubay’s page) according to CelebTV. You can view her latest racy photo HERE.
The Fil-Am singer, who says she’s influenced by Aretha Franklin and Mariah Carey, lists her favorite quote as: “If you’re hated, you’re doing something right.” Ramiele Malubay has previously told the Filipino publication Pinoy Business she doesn’t want to be famous but does want to represent the Asian community well in a competition where the whole world is watching. But I bet she didn’t saw this “photo scandal” coming! Tsk!
Time to take a break.. Our favorite female “American Idol” singer is in the Top 12 so let’s get to know her better. Below are some juicy “question and answer” bits with Ramiele Malubay. Read on and enjoy! =)
What has been your proudest moment in life so far?
Ramiele Malubay: My proudest moment in life so far has to be making it this far in American Idol and changing into a better person this year.
If you couldn’t sing, which talent would you most like to have?
If I couldn’t, I would want to be an incredible dancer.
Who is your favorite judge and why?
My favorite judge is Paula because she’s super sweet and, without heels, we see eye to eye. – HAHAHA! Ramiele Malubay can be quite funny eh?? I wonder how will Paula Abdul take that, hehe
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
People would be surprised to learn that instead of singing in the shower, I dance.
Do you have any lucky charms?
My lucky charm is my guardian angel coin.
WOOHOO! The Fil-Am cutie survived American Idol’s last cut to enter the Top 12 of this year’s AI! Those who did not make it in the Top 12 were Luke Menard, Kady Malloy, Asia’h Epperson, and the openly gay Danny Noriega. Ramiele Malubay openly wept when her friend Danny was not chosen. Guess her being included in the Top 12 was bittersweet =( The remaining six female contestants and six male contestants will go up against each other starting next week.
Ramiele Malubay will be joined by fellow female contenders, Kristy Lee Cook, Syesha Mercado, Amanda Overmyer, Carly Smithson, and Brooke White. In her first performance in the elimination round, Ramiele Malubay sang “You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me” by Dusty Springfield that drew praises from all the judges. But her next two performances— “Don’t Leave Me This Way” by Thelma Houston and “Against All Odds” by Phil Collins— did not impress the judges them. Hope Ramiele will do better in the coming weeks!
Did you know that the Fil-Am chanteuse used to do Polynesian dance when she was little? If you watched last week’s American Idol, you would have seen Ramiele Malubay as she demonstrated hula dancing. Pretty cool and sexy! =) Also, last week, in the red room, Ryan Seacrest asks the latest American Idol Pinay sensation about her excessive tears at last week’s results show. Ramiele Malubay admits that she was really sad to see people go, especially her roommate and her hanging buddy Colton.
On the show itself, Randy found her performance a little rough because the song choice was weird and “really okay.” The fact is, Ramiele changed her song choices four times. She had two slower songs, but she doesn’t want people calling her “Lullaby” instead of “Malubay.” LOL! Paula says that she’s also one to beat here, but she contradicts herself by saying she agreed with Randy, saying she didn’t get to show her magic. Simon, on the other hand, thought she was much better last week, but he probably won’t remember her performance. He thinks Ramiele Malubay is one of the top 3 singers, but it wasn’t her best performance last week.
The latest Pinay sensation in AI auditioned for the said show in Miami last August 2007. Based in Miramar, Florida, Ramiele Malubay worked hard with the support of her family in practicing and honing her vocal skills and style. She is a nursing student, and has so far balanced her school work and practice schedules. The family later decided that Ramiele Malubay needed to concentrate on her career and will just pursue her studies later. The moment of truth came on January 30 at the American Idol Season 7 auditions in Miami in a face-off with the Idol judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson.
As she performed Aretha Franklin’s “Natural Woman” in front of the 3 judges, she thought she did a good job. However, Simon said, “I think you’re a good singer. I don’t think you’re a contemporary singer, I think you’re more like a hotel singer!” YIKES! But Paula and Randy came to Ramiele’s rescue. “I think you are phenomenal,” interjected Paula. “I was impressed,” said Randy. And so, with a vote of 2-1, she was in!!! “Welcome to Hollywood!” exclaimed Randy. Welcome indeed! =)
